Duck is a truly gorgeous pup with a personality to match. His mom was a purebred English Cream Golden Retriever, and his dad was a Golden/Aussie mix-giving him both a stunning look and a fun, energetic spirit. Duck is a happy, active dog who will thrive with structure, training, and a family ready to help him be his very best self.
To support that goal, Duck will be participating in Wright-Way Rescue's intensive 8-week training program at a federal prison in Marion, IL. Through this unique program, he will receive daily, hands-on training and socialization. When he graduates, he'll be a well-mannered, well-trained companion ready to start life with his forever family.
Duck is available to reserve now, but he won't be ready to go home until his training is completed-approximately the second week of May. If you're looking for an incredible companion who comes with the added bonus of extensive professional training, Duck may be the perfect match for you.
Duck does well with other dogs, but he prefers not to share his food or high-value items. Because of this, he would do best in a home that can continue reinforcing good habits around resources-or he may also thrive as the only dog in the household where he can soak up all the attention.

- Our typical turnaround time for applications is within 48 hours.
- An email will be sent to you once your application is approved. This email will include instructions on how to proceed with our reservation process.
- Please note: The location listed in an animal's profile does not indicate where the animal is available for adoption. Almost all of our adoptions are carried out at our Morton Grove facility.
OPTION TWO: COME INTO THE ADOPTION CENTER AND MEET THEM ALL!
The adoption center is located at 5915 W Lincoln Ave in Morton Grove, IL 60053. It is open Thursday & Friday, 4 pm-8 pm and Saturday & Sunday, 11 am-5 pm.
