Description:
Oscar is a handsome medium-haired grey tabby boy who was found homeless in Southern Illinois and is now ready to find a safe, loving home. With striking stripes, soft fur, and a gentle personality, Oscar is affectionate, curious, and loves spending time exploring or snuggling in cozy spots.
He tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), but FIV-positive cats are most often like any other cat, enjoying playful and affectionate behavior, but with a weakened immune system that may, at times, require extra care to prevent secondary infections. They can live long, happy lives indoors, though they may be more prone to issues like dental disease, gingivitis, and infections that need prompt veterinary treatment. FIV is not transmissible to humans or other animals, and its effects vary widely among individual cats.
Oscar is full of love, warmth, and charm, and he's ready to share his sweet, loyal companionship with the right family who will give him the care and attention he deserves.
