Meet Eleanor, a gentle Beagle/Dachshund mix whose soft eyes tell the story of a difficult past and a hopeful future. Rescued from a hoarding case in Southern Illinois, Eleanor is understandably frightened by the big changes in her life, but beneath her timid exterior is a sweet dog who wants so badly to trust and be loved. With patience, kindness, and a calm environment, she is beginning to realize that gentle hands, kind words, and a cozy bed can be part of her everyday life. Every small step she takes is a victory, and watching her confidence grow is incredibly rewarding. Eleanor is looking for a compassionate family willing to let her move at her own pace and show her that she will never have to be afraid again. In return, she'll offer the quiet, heartfelt bond that comes from earning the trust of a dog who has waited so long to know what it truly means to be safe, cherished, and loved.

OPTION ONE: RESERVE A PET IN ADVANCE by filling out an online application at https://wright-wayrescue.org/adoption-application-page
- Our typical turnaround time for applications is within 48 hours.
- An email will be sent to you once your application is approved. This email will include instructions on how to proceed with our reservation process.
- Please note: The location listed in an animal's profile does not indicate where the animal is available for adoption. Almost all of our adoptions are carried out at our Morton Grove facility.
OPTION TWO: COME INTO THE ADOPTION CENTER AND MEET THEM ALL!
The adoption center is located at 5915 W Lincoln Ave in Morton Grove, IL 60053. It is open Friday, 2pm-8pm and Saturday & Sunday, 11 am-5 pm.
