Meet Emmett, a gentle Beagle/Dachshund mix with a tender heart and a love for belly rubs. Rescued from a hoarding case in Southern Illinois, Emmett is still learning that people can be kind and that the world isn't such a scary place. He may be timid at first and needs a little time to feel safe, but once he begins to trust you, his sweet personality starts to shine. One of the quickest ways to win Emmett's heart is with a gentle belly rub-it's his favorite way to relax and reminds him that he's finally safe. Every day, he grows a little braver as he discovers the comfort of a warm bed, a full belly, and caring hands. Emmett is looking for a patient, compassionate family who will let him settle in at his own pace and celebrate every milestone along the way. In return, he'll offer quiet companionship, unwavering loyalty, and the special joy that comes from helping a deserving dog learn what it truly means to be loved.

OPTION ONE: RESERVE A PET IN ADVANCE by filling out an online application at https://wright-wayrescue.org/adoption-application-page
- Our typical turnaround time for applications is within 48 hours.
- An email will be sent to you once your application is approved. This email will include instructions on how to proceed with our reservation process.
- Please note: The location listed in an animal's profile does not indicate where the animal is available for adoption. Almost all of our adoptions are carried out at our Morton Grove facility.
OPTION TWO: COME INTO THE ADOPTION CENTER AND MEET THEM ALL!
The adoption center is located at 5915 W Lincoln Ave in Morton Grove, IL 60053. It is open Friday, 2pm-8pm and Saturday & Sunday, 11 am-5 pm.
