Meet Sawyer, a gentle Beagle/Dachshund mix who is searching for a patient and understanding family to help him discover the love and security he deserves. Rescued from a hoarding case in Southern Illinois, Sawyer is currently very scared as he adjusts to the many changes in his life. While he may not yet understand that he is safe, he is slowly learning that kindness, comfort, and care are waiting for him. Sawyer will need a calm home, a little extra patience, and someone willing to let him come out of his shell at his own pace. His journey will take time, but every small step forward will be a meaningful victory. For the person willing to give him that chance, watching Sawyer learn to trust and experience love for the first time will be an incredibly rewarding experience. With compassion and understanding, Sawyer has the potential to become the loyal and loving companion he was always meant to be.

- Our typical turnaround time for applications is within 48 hours.
- An email will be sent to you once your application is approved. This email will include instructions on how to proceed with our reservation process.
- Please note: The location listed in an animal's profile does not indicate where the animal is available for adoption. Almost all of our adoptions are carried out at our Morton Grove facility.
OPTION TWO: COME INTO THE ADOPTION CENTER AND MEET THEM ALL!
The adoption center is located at 5915 W Lincoln Ave in Morton Grove, IL 60053. It is open Friday, 2pm-8pm and Saturday & Sunday, 11 am-5 pm.
