Meet Rio, a handsome Poodle from Texas who is the definition of a good boy. Rio is the perfect blend of chill and playful, snuggly and affectionate, athletic and goofy, with a wonderful medium-energy personality that brings joy to everyday life. Whether relaxing at your feet while the family gathers around the table, carrying on a full "conversation" with expressive vocalizations, or zooming around with favorite toys, Rio simply makes every day better. Rio is crate trained, leash trained, and fully house trained, great with people of all ages, wonderful with children, excellent with other dogs, and good in the car. Clever, obedient, patient, food motivated, and incredibly loving, Rio especially adores children and wants nothing more than to be included as part of the family. Favorite treats include bones and pig ears, which are also helpful for keeping a bit of a natural chewing habit directed toward appropriate outlets. Rio also enjoys digging, so supervision in the yard is recommended. Rio is not cat friendly and will need a home without cats. For a family looking for a loyal, affectionate, playful companion with plenty of personality, Rio could be the perfect match.

- Our typical turnaround time for applications is within 48 hours.
- An email will be sent to you once your application is approved. This email will include instructions on how to proceed with our reservation process.
- Please note: The location listed in an animal's profile does not indicate where the animal is available for adoption. Almost all of our adoptions are carried out at our Morton Grove facility.
OPTION TWO: COME INTO THE ADOPTION CENTER AND MEET THEM ALL!
The adoption center is located at 5915 W Lincoln Ave in Morton Grove, IL 60053. It is open Friday, 2pm-8pm and Saturday & Sunday, 11 am-5 pm.
